When the childcare group under Presbyterian Community Services (PCS) decided to train Grace Orchard School students with mild intellectual disability to work in childcare centres as teacher aides, questions arose.
Would their presence give the teachers more work? Would the children be able to tell the difference? And would their parents be willing to give them a chance?
