Covid-19: Are the additional measures on safe distancing in Singapore considered a “lockdown”?

WATCH: National Development Minister Lawrence Wong was asked at a press conference on Tuesday (March 24), if the additional measures on safe distancing can be considered a “lockdown”.
The new measures include the closure of all bars and entertainment venues such as cinemas, pubs, nightclubs, theatres and karaoke outlets.
They will take effect from 11.59pm on Thursday and are expected to be in place until April 30.
Other public venues such as retail malls, museums and attractions can remain open but they must reduce their operating capacity.
