Singaporean 34-year-old Zakiah Jaafar lives with Buerger’s Disease, a rare and incurable condition that leaves her in constant excruciating pain.
The wounds on her limbs are currently infected, but she puts off admitting herself to Singapore General Hospital to attend her 6-year-old son’s graduation from PCF Sparkletots Preschool at Radin Mas. “I might not be able to see his other graduations, so I’d rather fight to go see.” All this despite the fact that an infection could spell further tissue death in her limbs.
